You are the driver of a big train. Your train suddenly was trasnported onto a track that is never used anymore and you see there are 5 people on the tracks in front of you. They are eating lunch and will never hear you comming. There is one option, you can switch to a different rail where there is one person sunbathing. He also cannot hear you.
To appease those of you who will make up silly arguments.....
You cannot derail the train, you cannot stop the train, you cannot warn the people. You WILL either hit the 5 people killing them or pull a level to switch to the other rail and kill the 1 person. All 6 people are equal. They are all bums with nothing to do in life or they can be equally good (all of them finds the cure for AIDS) or equally evil (all adolf hitlers). They are not idiots for sitting on the tracks. These tracks are never used anymore the government has set up picnic tables and sunbathing places there for that reason. So don't say kill them all cause they're idiots.
