They claim 3 major manufacturers Intel, AMD, and Via... what about IBM's G5 chip?!?!?! Razz

Also for you mac guys... what is IBM's 64 bit technology called? The article states that AMD originally developed the x86-64 architecture. from what I read this is similar to the first 8008 chips emulating 32 bit from 16 bit. You guys know much about this?
IBM's (Apple's) G5 chips are similar to older generation chips? built off of them?
Does anyone know (or have experience with) how the G5 performs as compared to G4 (or other non 64bit) at similar clocks? OSX is 64bit enabled???
