I was bored this morning and I really wanted to confirm what we talked about yesterday... so here it is:

http://qualityimporting.com/rklee/Physics%20of%20Bowling.pdf
I only had word to work with here at work... don't have mathcad so bad formatting.

There is one addition I didn't put in before I pdf -ed it. I conlcuded that M and m and A and c and V determined the deflection angle but that isn't quite true. Since M and m could be combined into the ratio of them by dividing by M in the top equations and therefore leaving only m/M, A, c and V. It's only slightly different but I don't think the ACTUAL masses are important, I think the ratio of them are.
The algebra's too difficult so I only showed what's left in the equation as opposed to what the actual relationship was.

Haven't looked through the pdf yet, but remember the mass of the pin ought to be a constant - so it's fair to talk about the mass of the ball in actual terms, 'cuz its the same thing.

Edit: I don't remember, but wasn't spin one of the main things we were talking about that night?
