yay that makes sense, i think this might be easier done in c++ also, since I think the printer port is just a place in memory u can write to...though i'm not totaly sure...but this is cool, thanx a LOT _________________ The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, isn't 'Eureka!' but rather 'hmm....that's funny.'

no i haven't done it, but i got a USB servo controller that i'm starting to play with now. One issue with controlling servoes through computer is i don't think u can just do it in XP, I think you have to write drivers for it first to give you access. XP is very restrictive and secure this way. I haven't done much with the USB thing yet, but it came with a nice demo program that does work and i can use it to run servoes, now i just have to write my own and see. _________________ The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, isn't 'Eureka!' but rather 'hmm....that's funny.'
