I found an interesting link detailing some alternate uses for the Prestidigitation Cantrip: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20010707

It wasn't related to the story or character building elements so I thought I'd start a new thread for potentially useful odds and ends that might be handy.

I don't know how much use this thread will get as most of the group doesn't look for or even stumble onto D&D related links all that often, but it'll be here for those that are interested.

From time to time I've stumbled upon class handbooks, guides to useful tricks in playing some of the basic classes. Most of the advice in these may not be applicable to your characters or your ideas on how to progress yours.

The fact that I'm posting them shouldn't be taken as a call to super-optimize your characters into some superhero that breaks the system, just that there are more D&D 3.5 books out there than anyone should possibly know about, so some of the more interesting tricks are harder to find and harder still to recognize.

So far I've found decent ones for the Barbarian and Rogue
Barbarian: http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2502.0
Rogue: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156350

The bard one is more an ongoing discussion, but not as clear on the advice.
Bard: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155157

I'll post more odds and ends as I find them.

Also, so far, no luck on four armed humanoids.

Monsters of Faerun has the Chitine, though at size small; it's 3.0, so the stats need a little work and the LA is unlisted. The race seems to be referenced in a Dragon magazine, so there might be an update there; with 2 racial HD it might be fine at LA 0, though.

Dungeon Master's Guide II has the 'aberrant limbs' trait to add to any race. 4 arms and the Multiweapon Fighting feat to go with it, on top of whatever race you please, for +2 LA.

I think we're going with the arms of a Diopsid at the cost of the human feat. It's homebrewish, but doesn't seem out of whack on the class of choice.
