Just heard from Codename Naomi that she and Codename Cleric are out this weekend. They're also going to be out the weekend of the 17th. (But they will be here the 10th.) Should we try to offset our schedule by a week?

This could get a little tricky. I'd ordinarily be ok with shifting by a week, but my maternally extended family is having a gathering on the weekend of Oct 10th and I plan to be out of the country between Oct 24th and Nov 7th. By the old schedule I'd have missed 3 alternately-consecutive non-D&D weekends, and one D&D weekend, but with a shift, that reverses.

I'd rather not charge ahead with only part of a group, so I'm open to delaying a little, but I'd like to get one session in before I head overseas so as to wrap up this chapter if we can.

In that case, perhaps we should charge ahead, because by that schedule, it doesn't look like you and Codename Naomi will run into each other again until November 14th.

If code-name Naomi is ok with that, I can work with that solution.

I'll work to make sure her character does not come to an unexpected end while unattended. We don't have to do both weeks as scheduled if she'd rather not miss too much. It will swap one tricky spot for another though: while we won't leave it all mid-battle scene until I return from around the globe, we will need to work with her to create what will then be a ret-conned reason as to why she continued journeying with the group.

EDIT:

To further clarify, the way I've planned things out works like a lot of continuity oriented TV shows. There'll be arcs of various lengths and occasional stand-alone "episodes". Unless things go horribly wrong, we should wrap this arc up and, if we choose to do the other session, it'll be, more or less, a standalone session without too many continuity issues. It'll fit with the larger story but it won't be crucial to development.
