Two stories came up today dealing with DRM,

First HBO exec when speaking at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association show said he wants to change DRM to DCE (Digital Consumer Enablement)

A company is suing top DRM content distributors because they are not including their DRM scheme in the product and thus breaking the DMCA. They are basically claiming that their stuff works better and thus needs to be used:
Quote:
Media Rights Technologies and its digital radio subsidiary BlueBeat.com said in a press release Thursday that it had issued cease and desist letters to the high-tech titans. It argues that the companies have manufactured billions of copies of Windows Vista, Adobe Flash Player, Real Player and Apple's iTunes and iPod "without regard for the DMCA or the rights of American intellectual property owners."
