As trool suggested, here is the beginning of a story that hopefully other people will randomly add on to. Keep comments and additions on this thread

Adam looked down at the world he had created. Well, he thought, I can?t take all the credit. The all-creation probes had been responsible for setting up the ecosystems and atmosphere that could sustain life many centuries ago on the once lifeless rock. Years of clever thinking, networks of friendships, and cheating had gotten him far. Only a scant handful of earth-born citizens would ever lead a colony vessel into the distant galaxies.
In essence, it was a chance to start again; it was the chance to run things the way he saw fit? at least until his peasants rebelled. But this was Adam, and he was arrogant enough to believe that would never happen. Things had always gone his way in the past, why shouldn?t they now?
He took a deep breath as he withdrew from the bridge after looking at the magnificent world. He made his way slowly to the cargo bays. Taking his time, Adam strategically found a good niche in the world for his 300 settlers to take root. He released the cargo that would sustain them, and give them their initial shelter. He wondered how well this equipment was designed, and whether it had been tested at all.
?No time like the present,? he said after releasing the cargo shuttles.
He made his way over the personnel bays where the colonists lay in stasis. ?All like little children, aren?t they?? thought Adam. He was feeling more cynical than usual today. With a couple keystrokes, he began the reanimation process. Only 12 people had not made it successfully out of stasis.
After orienting his ?followers?, he led them to the adjoining assembly room, and gave them his spiel. ?Welcome to the world of Shroom. As you hopefully all recall, you are aboard the colony vessel that was assigned to populate this world. I hope you all still feel up to it.? He paused; there was some murmuring here and there, but it was largely silent: with awe or sleepiness, Adam couldn?t tell.
After reading his prepared speech about bold adventures and courageous settlers, he told them about the immediate tasks ahead: of setting up the prepared shelter, and begin clearing the land for cultivated farming. They had all gotten this training before leaving earth a couple centuries ago, but this was a good reminder to anyone who had lost some memory due to the stasis process.
Without further ado, he escorted everyone to their shuttles, and began the descent down to the planet. Equipped with various scanning tools and advanced weaponry, the leaders of each shuttle stepped out onto the surface of Shroom, which had never seen humanoid life before, and they saw in horror?

"...and they saw in horror" every house on their new planet was about half it's normal size. Later they would all find out that not only was Adam an arrogant magalomaniac, but the years of travel and being alone had rendered him completely delusional. He not only believed to be a superior being mentaly to all the colonists but physicaly as well. Alan saw himself as a god like creature towering over all of his subjects. That wouldn't have been so much a problem if in reality Adam wasn't just a bit over 5 feet high. But, due to his delusion, he designed his housing to be fit for people on the scale he imagined them to be. So every house had apartments in it about 4 feet high.
But it wasn't all bad. Adam had done a very good job on the surounding environment. The grass was green and it moved with the wind. The whole plane seemed like a bright green sea. As long as one ignored the housing situation the view did seem just like the pictures in the recruitment booklets the Company gave out to try to get people to come on this trip.
"Alright everyone," boomed a voice over the load speaker, "we are finaly here and it's time to get orginized." That was Charles Yuorgin. He was the man the Company had pointed out to be the first organizational force. His was the job to keep the order on the plannet. At least until Adam was satisfied that his newly constructed environment was stable and rejoined the populance on the planet.
"You all have your room and job assingments. Also the everyone is aware of the scheduel for the first week. Those who have off until the second and third shifts can go to their rooms and get settled. Everyone else please report to work. We have a lot of things to do to start living normaly." He glanced at the buildings as he said that. With that message the crowd began to desimate and Charles decided to go and see his new office, and meet his staff...
