Some stuff I was wondering about before I go and make a character(Ben's group):
1. Are there any restrictions on alignment? What are they? (I'm guessing evil of any sort is out)
2. Are there any restrictions on race or are any races from the D&D race books & manual acceptable. If there are restrictions, what are they?
3. Are there any restrictions on class and if so what are they?
If anyone else can think of more character creation questions, please add them. _________________ People's whole lives do pass before their eyes before they die. The process is called living.

1. Primarily I'd say non-evil. Chaotic can work so long as A. its not understood as being just as likely to jump in a gorge as use a bridge (you might not be surprised about how many "chaotic-stupid" stories there are out there) and B. it can play reasonably well with others. It would seem silly to build an adventurer that needs to be dragged into adventure.
2. Race is relatively open, but anything with a LA would need to be reviewed and discussed (given that we're starting at level 1). I don't want to limit it to those found in the PHB if people have interesting ideas, but we'd need to discuss some of the more exotic choices to fit them into the world.
3. No major class restrictions come to mind just yet. I'd be a little reluctant to try and manage a perpetually flying PC , but otherwise magic and melee alike should be good, but I do plan to try and stick more to the game's intent with encounters per day though, so fighters may be low on HP and casters may be low (or out) of spells by the end of the day more often than not. If you're thinking about future prestige classes, it probobly won't come into play until at least level 5, but I'd like to get a sense of the build.
Edit: Removed flying restriction from 3. Not encouraging it, especially as it's more common with magical items, but not outlawing it. _________________ The old Jastermereel account seems to have been killed in an unfortunate email changing accident.
