poor fictional kitty...kind of sad when a commercial uses graphic animal violence/death to sell its stuff. Especially when its so utterly unnecessary and unrelated to the subject. _________________ People's whole lives do pass before their eyes before they die. The process is called living.

Quote: | Bucknell prof Eric Faden has produced the most amazing video mashup I've ever seen: "A Fair(y) Use Tale" cuts together thousands of extremely short clips from dozens of Disney cartoons, lifting indivudal words and short phrases to spell out an articulate, funny, and thoroughly educational lesson on how copyright works. This is the most subversive and hilarious use of Disney material I've ever seen -- and there's even a really smart chapter about why Faden used Disney material to make his film. This should be required viewing in every K-12 classroom in the country. |

The Little Match Girl
Apparently it was a segment cut from Fantasia 2000. Why they went with that Donald segment or the flamingo or even maybe the whales over this, I just don't know. _________________ The old Jastermereel account seems to have been killed in an unfortunate email changing accident. Probably because its would be pretty depressing to stick this segment in a pseudo happy movie thing. Plus people would probably complain about the death and everything. Disney's not really big on characters dying in their movies unless they're evil. Certainly not children. And certainly not of poverty. Considering its Disney, its amazing this was made at all. _________________ People's whole lives do pass before their eyes before they die. The process is called living.
