You see, when people ask me why I don't like GCC (an open source C/C++/god-knows-what-else compiler), one of my top griefs is the "helpful" error messages. Here's a new one to add to the list:

/Users/jmarker/Projects/QtSandbox/proj1/Point3f.cpp:13: error: anachronistic old-style base class initializer

Even if you don't know what a base class initializer is, who here knows what anachronistic means off the top of their head?! Seriously now!

Arrrrrrgh Razz Bad GCC; no doughnut!

Me! Me!

I don't know what a base class initializer but I do know my anachronisms...and on that point, it seems odd for it to have both "anachronistic" and "old-style". While they aren't the same thing, the pairing seems strange.
