this would be outrageous if not for excessive violations of civil rights the administration have been conducting on a pretty regular basis(i'm still surprised when my coworker exlaims hatred for our wonderfull president with such surprise in his outrages)....the only reason its not more widespread is because those who have something to gain from this are not far enough entrenched in the US to be able to get away with this(or much worse) scott free if the media's eye was turned on them...however since its not they feel free to do as they please....this will only get worse with time and the problem is not the government necessarily which has always been and always will be corrupt but the balance between these people and those who have previously kept a watchfull eye on them...now those eyes have either been paid off, discredited or they've disapeared altogether so what can be expected?...
even with the eye turned their way the public's reaction is frequently in the wrong places(as exemplified by the stupid need for figurehead heroes to even begin focusing the frequently blind and pretty much apathetic and/or ignorant masses...this is also a pendulum that swings both ways and so far has been used somewhat effectively by the administration)
i don't see this changing any time soon....and i don't see it changing in any sort of pretty or even remotely painless way
if another one of these nuts gets elected i think we're screwed _________________ People's whole lives do pass before their eyes before they die. The process is called living.
Most of the time its easier to get along with people before you get to know them. |
